Advanced (C2) Level

When learning a language at Advanced C2 Level, you will develop your grammar and vocabulary much further and gain more sophisticated communication skills. You can typically expect to learn the following topics:

• Further expand your vocabulary and use more specific words and expressions.
• Improving your speaking skills, being able to speak naturally, using different intonation and accents, using slang and idioms.
• Further develop your listening skills, so that you can understand long and complex speeches and discussions, understand people speaking with different accents, and even follow debates on a variety of current issues.
• Further develop your reading skills so that you can understand long, complex and academic texts, scanning and summarising paragraphs quickly, especially identifying the main idea of the text you are reading.
• By further developing your writing skills, you will be able to write more professionally, effectively and fluently, writing reports, articles, reviews and other academic or professional documents.
• Have a much better understanding of grammar rules and be able to use more complex grammatical structures.
• Develop advanced communication skills such as debates, presentations and interviews.
When learning a language at Advanced C2 level, you will now be able to speak, listen, read and write in a much more natural way and you will be able to understand and communicate easily on almost all topics that you may encounter in daily life.

At Advanced C2 level, you can learn all tense forms. You can also start to learn more complex language structures such as passive constructions, conditional sentences, reported speech and sentence links.

When you complete Advanced C2, you will be much more fluent and comfortable in reading, writing, listening and speaking skills in English. You can communicate in English in your daily, business, academic and social life.

By the end of Advanced C2, you may have learnt an average of 4,000 to 5,000 words. However, the number of words can be different for each student and depends on your learning method.

When you have successfully completed Advanced C2, you will be able to understand most of a text you read. There may be words you do not understand, but you can grasp the general meaning.

At the end of Advanced C2 Level, you will be able to speak enough to manage your daily life. You will have enough English to meet your needs and communicate with friends and family.

When you successfully complete your upper level English education, you will have a complete command of this language from grammar to folkloric elements.
